Mom and Dad My First Christmas in Heaven December 25, 2011

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, we really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my home above
I sent you each a memory of my undying love
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do
For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

It isn't fair. It isn't right that we do not get to celebrate Steven's 21st birthday with him tomorrow. It is a special day still and always will be. I will be thinking about when my first nephew was born. I remember before that first haircut wondering when the heck his parents were going to cut it! Boy was it long. LoL I remember the joy on my mother's face every time you visited so she could see her grandchildren. Waking up and finding steven and grandpa sharing a cup of coffee in the kitchen. I remember steven's smile. That kid had a great smile. He and Samantha always seemed to get along. Remember when we did the treasure hunt in the house and the two of them found their treasure in a closet with the dogs! They loved it. I can only imagine how he looked the day you got Scout. He must have been so happy. I remember lots of holidays and
birthdays together. These are the things I will think about tomorrow to celebrate my wonderful nephews' life.

Steven saved a life!

We learned while we were here in Pontiac that back sometime right before the super bowl 2011 - steven was living in an apt with one of his best friends named Malcolm.

Malcolm has asthma and he had a really bad attack during the night. He was trying to breathe and couldn't talk but he woke steven up by throwing something at him. I believe malcolm collasped so Steven immediately called 911 and malcolm's mom. Not sure if Malcolm went unconscious for a bit and then came to, but steven stayed by his side keeping him calm and talking to him until the ambulance came. They got him to the hospital and Malcolm survived and is doing well.

The doctor said that he was really lucky because he was in bad shape and people usually don't survive what he went through. Malcolm's mom said the doctor and nurses wanted to meet the young man who was there to help and calm him. Steven was close to his whole family and they came on Monday and Tuesday and to Penny's house.

Malcolm and his brothers and a sister had shirts made up with steven's picture with them, I think the shirt said never to be forgotten, also his nickname that they had for him and his birth and date of death. Malcolm said everyone has a nickname. Malcolm was really emotional and upset but he was able to talk to Diane more at penny's house telling a few steven stories. Just thought you'd like to know.
